Over the past two days I have been listening to the confirmation hearings for Condoleezza Rice’s nomination as secretary of state. I have to say I’m been pretty disappointed in a lot of our Senators questions and statements. Most are playing softball and stating that they have extreme reservations with the nomination, but will be voting for her approval.

There are a few exceptions, one being a Senator of my state California, Barbara Boxer, where she has pressed hard on Rice blatant lying to Americans in order to sell the war in Iraq. And of course Senator John Kerry who has been rather vocal on this administration wrong doings over the past couple of years. You can listen to a clip of their questions here: [link]

Unfortunately, Dr. Rice will most likely be approved and we Americans will continue to live under a dark cloud of misinformation spread forth from our President’s administration.
