Nicole and I rode in the TierraBellaBicycleTour yesterday and chose the measly 60K option. Read her blogentry to find out the good stuff, I’m too tired to write!
60 kilometer? For some Dutchies, that would be 2 days worth of commute. One guy I knew rode into the office from his house 15 km away. One day was 30 km, round trip.
Imagine doing that bike ride you did, every. single. day.
Me, I was never that Dutch. I would do a 2km commute. You get used to it, but I always hated the rain.
I have to say, I would love to ride my bike to work. But, my current commute is over 80 miles round trip. Which would get me in wonderful shape, but would leave no time to actually work. Which in my mind wouldn’t be so bad, but I don’t think they would continue to sign my check.
If you know of anything good going on in SF proper, let me know. It would be great to work within the city limits.
And did you wear this

when riding a bike?
Too tired to write? I thought you had a “power nap” after the ride.
Well maybe I should have said “too lazy”.

128km would be extreme, even for a Dutchie. They’d get one of those collapsible bicycles, and take it with them on the train.
