I think you answered your question with the “by the third mug.” No sober person drinks wine out of a mug.

I get a headache every time I drink the stuff. It’s neither hot nor sophisticated from the first glass to whenever the headache gets too annoying.
It’s precursor to vinegar, that’s what it is.
